The Acadiana Spiritual Association introduces the Acadiana Spiritual Academy, a metaphysical and spiritual education institution dedicated to education in esoteric ideologies: astrology, Kabbalah, meditation, mediumship, mythology, reiki, runeology, tarot, Tai Chi, witchcraft, and yoga. Along with our workshops and general courses, the Acadian Spiritual Academy currently only offers certification courses in tarot divination reading.
The Acadiana Spiritual Academy is headmastered by a Louisiana-certified educator with 10+ years experience in the public education system. Courses were designed by a collaboration of seven spiritual experts, four of whom are Louisiana-certified educators.

A special emphasis is placed on the development of cartomancy
in the 16th century and occult use of the tarot in the 18th
century.

Kabbalah & the Tree of Life

The course focuses on
the central teachings of Kabbalah, the Jewish
mystical tradition that emerged in 12th-century Provence and profoundly
influenced European spirituality. We will explore the themes of Ein Sof (God as “Infinity”), Ayin (the divine “no-thingness”),
Shekhinah (the feminine “presence” of God), and
Raising the Sparks (discovering God in everyday life). Special emphasis is
placed on the Tree of Life.

themes.

|
|
An exploration of the
tarot deck painted by Lady Frieda Harris according to instructions from Aleister Crowley and a focus on Crowley's book
"The Thoth Deck." Discovery of the illustrations of the deck
feature symbolism based upon Crowley's incorporation of imagery from many
disparate disciplines, including science and philosophy and various occult
systems as well as Crowley's rearrangement of cards and meanings.

on historical research on the development of tarot and why associations and
correspondences were made. Elemental associations to the court cards will
be explored in intricate detail along with Pythagorean numbers and
numerology, psychological approaches to the cards.

Tarot Reading
|
|
Students will begin to
create their own tarot spreads and read for various people. Students will
be evaluated based on their reading capabilities at a much higher scrutiny
than before. Follow-up surveys completed by the querent
will determine the accuracy of readings. Students will track their accuracy
via reports completed at the time of the reading and at the time the follow
up survey is conducted. If incorrect, students will correct their
understanding of specific cards in specific placements a final report.

Teacher will guide
students in research and writing style techniques. Students will conduct
their own research as well as gather all the knowledge they have obtained
until this point, develop their own system of interpretation, write about
it, categorize it, and publish it as a book. Research will be evaluated for
accuracy and precision by a team of evaluators. Furthermore, students will
be expected to create their own tarot deck using any art medium of their
choosing. The student will be expected to submit finished work to Weiser
Books or Llewellyn Publishing for publication.

Credit-by-Examination
Students may take credit-by-examination test (CET)
for most courses to receive credit without having to take the course. Students
will receive credit only if they pass the CET for each course with at least 85%
accuracy. CET exams test mastery of specific course material acquired in a
variety of ways — through general academic instructions, significant
independent study, extracurricular work, or life experience — as opposed to
traditional coursework. Students do not receive a refund if they do not pass
the test.
